LifePrep for Teens

Empowering Young People To Understand Themselves and Build Self Confidence

We teach so much in school…yet many kids never learn actionable life skills.

What is life all about?

Building self-esteem

Communication skills

Setting boundaries

Having high standards

Setting and achieving goals

Appreciating what we have

Self-confidence

These are just a few of the tools we teach in a group setting to teens in our office.

Imagine if all of our kids felt good about themselves? Unfortunately, so many do not.

We have seen an unprecedented rise in teen anxiety and depression over the past few years and although there are many contributory factors, low self esteem is a central player.

These “Success Tools” have been compiled by Dr. Michael Gruttadauria and have been used in his clinical functional medicine practice for many years. These same issues in teens are found in most adults as well, and they commonly show up in our practice as stress related disorders like migraine headaches, anxiety, IBS, chronic fatigue or depression.

Each session, we cover a different topic and use the written materials as a guide to facilitate life coaching around each topic.

Benefits:

Self-awareness and personal growth: Empowerment coaching help boys develop a strong sense of self-awareness, allowing them to understand their emotions, strengths, and areas of growth. They can explore their values, beliefs, and goals, enabling personal growth and self-improvement.

Improved self-esteem and confidence: Through coaching, boys can build their self-esteem and confidence. They learn to recognize their unique qualities and develop a positive self-image. This newfound confidence can positively impact their academic performance, social interactions, and overall well-being.

Enhanced communication and interpersonal skills: Coaching groups provide a safe and supportive environment for boys to practice effective communication skills. They can develop assertiveness, active listening, conflict resolution, and empathy, which are crucial for healthy relationships and successful teamwork.

Goal setting and motivation: Empowerment coaching helps boys identify their aspirations and create realistic goals. They learn effective goal-setting strategies and develop the motivation and resilience needed to overcome obstacles and work toward their objectives.

Stress management and resilience: Adolescence can be a challenging time, and coaching can equip boys with stress management techniques and resilience-building skills. They learn strategies to cope with pressure, setbacks, and uncertainty, fostering mental and emotional well-being.

Positive mindset and attitude: Coaching groups focus on cultivating a positive mindset and attitude. Boys can develop optimism, gratitude, and a growth mindset, which enable them to embrace challenges, learn from failures, and maintain a positive outlook in various areas of life.

Leadership and teamwork skills: Coaching groups often involve collaborative activities that encourage boys to develop leadership and teamwork skills. They can learn effective leadership styles, cooperation, conflict resolution, and the ability to work harmoniously with others towards common goals.

Decision-making and problem-solving abilities: Empowerment coaching equips boys with critical thinking skills, helping them make informed decisions and solve problems effectively. They learn to evaluate options, consider consequences, and develop strategies to overcome obstacles, promoting independent thinking and responsible decision-making.

Social support and camaraderie: Participating in a coaching group allows boys to connect with peers facing similar challenges. They can provide mutual support, share experiences, and build a sense of camaraderie. This social support network fosters a sense of belonging and encourages personal growth.

Long-term life skills: The skills acquired through empowerment coaching are not limited to the adolescent years but provide a foundation for lifelong personal and professional success.
